The positive obligations on employers to take steps to avoid this situation are clear. Employers are assumed to be aware of the risks and a new level of management of those risks is now required.
Employers MUST now manage those psychosocial risks in accordance with the WHS Regulation, including identifying hazards, eliminating or minimising risks, controlling risks in accordance with the hierarchy of controls, and maintaining and reviewing control measures.
